today, my mom and i spent the day in fairfield touring a local college, shopping and enjoying lunch to kick off the first day of spring. in typical connecticut fashion, though, it started blizzarding around noon and has not stopped yet. happy freakin’ spring. regardless, the day was enjoyable and i’ve found another school that will be receiving an application from me.
leaving the house this morning, i knew that i was dressing for the cold, but the severity of the snow was surprising. luckily, i was toasty warm roaming campuses and downtown streets thanks to my g.h. bass & co parka. highly recommend. the coat didn’t stand alone, though. under it, i wore a nordstrom sherpa vest and a white, long sleeve knit top, also from nordstrom. i finished the look with leather details, black basics and a bright mani, hoping to attract some bright weather.
