outfit of the day: easter sunday

right next to derby day, easter may just be the preppiest holiday, style wise, of the year. it seems to be the widespread inaugural day for pastels, lilly pulitzer dresses and jack rogers, easily making it one of my favorites. being able to dig my favorite lilly skirt out of the darkness of my basement is truly better than anything in an  easter basket; although ironically there was a lilly dress in my basket this year. another plus to the holiday is that, no matter when it falls, it always symbolizes the official start to spring, despite when the calendar indicates. today, the birds were chirping just a little louder and i went outside without a coat on and lived to tell the tale. aahhh. in case you’re still questioning this whole “official start to spring” theory, i wore sandals too and all ten of my toes are still in their original form, not transformed into tiny icicles, which makes me very hoppy. no, that’s not a typo, its a bunny pun.

happy easter/pastel/lilly christening day, folks!!!
