outfit of the day: in transit and in style |

on sunday, my sister and i boarded a train to meet my parents in new york city for lunch before my mom and i hopped on a plane to north carolina, and my outfit had to be appropriate for all three activities. this entailed being comfortable, obviously, but still fashionable(this is new york we’re talking about), and convertible to adjust to the differing temperatures in an air conditioned restaurant and chilly plane cabin, contrasting with the nearly 90 degree outside temperature.

to pull off this feat, i opted for my favorite forever 21 skirt which is super flowy, paired with an equally loose cropped tank from brandy melville. i secured my go-to ralph lauren oxford around my waist for a pop of color and easily accessible extra layer. for all of the walking i did, my tory burch miller sandals were a perfect choice- both chic and comfy- and all of my necessities were neatly packed in my longchamp le pliage tote.
