to kick off a weekend of travelling, my family and i lunched at the pershing square cafe directly across from the infamous grand central station. the brightly decorated eatery offered panoramic views of 42nd street and shared the same lively hustle of the city in which it resides.
hungry from a morning of commuting, i opted for the cafe’s burger, an extremely juicy patty nestled in a squishy bun and topped with lettuce and tomato. this simple dish was executed perfectly- no frills and lots of flavor. alongside the burger, came a pile of extra crispy fries and a sour pickle to contrast the salt, which it did perfectly.
