outfit of the day: fall in free people |

to start off a very long stretch of cold weather outfits, i figured that one of my favorite sweater and skirt pairings was only appropriate. despite how cold it gets, i simply cannot give up skirts and dresses, as they’re so easy to throw on when pants just aren’t happening. also, i’m apologizing in advance for the fact that most of these photos will look like they were taken in the middle of the night…leaving for school before 7 only offers so much daylight :)

the focal point of this outfit was my free people ‘cold shoulder’ sweater, which i purchased over the summer and have been itching to wear ever since. i love how comfortable the drapey silhouette is, which also allows me to pair the top with an array of bottoms. speaking of bottoms, my skirt is from lord and taylor’s design lab collection, and the perfect basic for any wardrobe. on my feet, are my h&m chelsea boots. i started the season on the hunt for the perfect short boot, and was shocked to find exactly what i wanted where i least expected to. funny how that works….. here are the deets!!!
