this week has brought connecticut some of the coldest weather that i have ever experienced, as well as over a foot of snow and crazy, hurricane-like winds. with that being said, i have spent the last few days in sweatpants and leggings, exclusively. this look was my outfit of choice for a christmas party and i was happy that i could get away with a spaghetti strap top (with a coat over it, of course) before the weather demanded additional layers.
because i got home from school just a few days before the party, i was racing around the day before to piece together a look. i got rid of so many items i no longer wear before heading back to school, so i’m in the process of replenishing my wardrobe, starting with re-wearable pieces, like these.
on top, i wore this velvet cami with lace details from abercrombie and paired it with black cropped dress pants from forever 21. i wore black suede pumps from sam edelman, as well and kept my jewelry simple, with the exception of a vintage diamond ring that added just the right amout of holiday sparkle!
